Inspired by Plato’s notion that behind everything visible lies a world of perfect forms, Reas uses the Platonic solids—especially the cube as a symbol of the earth—as the foundation of his compositions. In this way, Reas combines mathematical precision with artistic aesthetics, creating a dialogue between digital and analog art.
