Macaulay Barnabas (b. 1989) is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist based in Ibadan. His love for art began at five in Benin City, sketching action figures, continuing after relocating to Agege, Lagos in 1997. Trained as an Optometrist at the University of Benin, he turned to fine art, gaining acclaim for hyperrealistic, surrealistic charcoal drawings in 2018–19 at Olokun Studio, Lagos. His practice has since evolved into conceptual work spanning realism and surrealism in oil and acrylic.
