Marko Ladjusic: Layering
Marko Ladjusic (Marko Lađušić, 1967) is a Serbian painter, sculptor, performance artist, and academy professor. Gallery Thalberg presents this artist to the Swiss public, showcasing his recent painting practice from 2019 onwards. The exhibition is completed with a comprehensive catalogue, explaining the nature of Marko Ladjusic’s art in detail. The catalog contains four texts by prominent, internationally recognized art critics – Natasa Radojevic, Biljana Jotić and Domenico de Chirico. They all gave their perspectives on Marko Ladjusic’s creative work, which will provide complete insight to the public who is meeting Marko Ladjusic for the first time, or would like to learn something new about his art. The title of the exhibition is LAYERING, referring to Marko Ladjusic’s specific style and his characteristic thorough painting process, consisting of layers and layers of thoughtfully applied pure color shades.
