Zofia Pałucha: Mother of One
In her latest exhibition, Zofia Pałucha addresses one of the most common, yet reductive, descriptions of identity on social media. "A mother of one" is not just a statement about family status; it's a label that defines a woman in the digital world, endowing her with specific utilitarian and social value.
The artist shows that the innocent slogan "bio" hides a whole spectrum experiences: from the biological hardship of motherhood, through voyeurism, to systemic violence. This is an exhibition about what is invisible.
Pałucha's painting resembles a crime scene report or a photograph X-rays. The author exposes the mechanisms of power and desire, showing a woman as an object of eternal evaluation - regardless of whether she enters stairs, expecting a baby, or becoming a victim of human trafficking. a brutally honest portrait of modernity in which the body is simultaneously temple and commodity.
