KM21 is an institute for contemporary art that stages three to four exhibitions each year showcasing Dutch and international artists, from emerging talents to established names. The exhibitions are accompanied by a public programme that includes artist talks, performances and lectures. Established as GEM in 2002, KM21 is housed in the same building as The Hague Museum of Photography. Both institutions are affiliated to the adjacent Kunstmuseum Den Haag.
From 29 November 2025, KM21 presents Stones: the first solo museum exhibition in the Netherlands of the Palestinian British artist Rosalind Nashashibi (1973).
This spring, KM21 presents the first solo exhibition in the Netherlands of Mohammed Sami (1984, Iraq). In his monumental, enigmatic and evocative paintings, Sami explores how unreliable and vulnerable memory can be.
