About browngrotta arts

For nearly 40 years, browngrotta arts has been a preeminent destination for contemporary art textiles, fiber sculpture, and mixed media — representing artists from the UK, Asia, Europe, Israel, and across the Americas, including those who have helped define modern fiber art since the 1950s.
The gallery reflects the cultivated vision of its founders, husband-and-wife team Tom Grotta and Rhonda Brown, who champion sculptural and mixed-media works with an emphasis on concept masterfully supported by technique. More than 100 artists, spanning four generations, are represented through exhibitions, publications, museum co-partnerships, and an extensive online gallery. browngrotta arts has published over 60 art catalogs and books, and placed works in distinguished private and corporate collections worldwide — including the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Arts and Design, Art Institute of Chicago, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian. The gallery collaborates with leading design and architectural firms globally — among them Clodagh Design, Jean Efron Art Consultants, Powell/Kleinschmidt, Mark Finlay Architects, and Osage Art Consultancy in Hong Kong — offering consultation for commissioned works and site-specific installations in commercial and residential spaces. Through digital visualization technology, browngrotta arts places artwork directly into client environments, bridging the distance between acquisition and imagination.
