"Founded in 1973 by Christa Zetter, the Galerie bei der Albertina ▪ Zetter focuses on Austrian art of the 20th and 21st century. From fine to applied art, our offer covers a broad variety of artworks.

Since January 2003 Katharina Zetter-Karner is the gallery’s managing director. Enthusiastic, committed and forward-looking, Katharina is successfully continuing the 50-year history of the Galerie bei der Albertina ▪ Zetter.
Since its opening the spectrum of artworks on offer has been continuously enlarged and diversified. Today, we are amongst the first addresses when it comes to Austrian Art of the 20th and 21st century, dealing with exquisite paintings, drawings, sculptures and design objects by notable artists.

Our gallery is located in Vienna’s historical city centre and in direct proximity to the world-famous Vienna opera and name sake Albertina museum. Galerie bei der Albertina ▪ Zetter presents its exhibits in inviting showrooms that expand over three floors.
Engaging with high quality exhibits of Art Nouveau - especially objects by the Wiener Werkstätte - has always been a strong focus in our gallery’s work.

In addition, we display selected paintings and sculptures from the Austrian Classical Modernist era.
Also, contemporary art has always been incorporated in our gallery’s portfolio. Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Egon Schiele, Emil Nolde, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Kiki Kogelnik, Joannis Avramidis, Maria Lassnig, Max Weiler, Wilhelm Nicolaus Prachensky, Markus Prachensky or Gunter Damisch – numerous great names are represented in our gallery.

Organising exhibitions and participating in national and international art fairs complement the gallery’s agenda. We host exhibitions honouring individual artists and artist groups or focusing on a certain artistic theme, all of which are accompanied by respective publications.
